February 14, 2003 We had an enjoyably simple Civil Registration at Bangunan Wilayah (Federal Building) in Petaling Jaya. Being Valentine's Day, an extremely popular date for getting registered (over 20 couples had the same idea), we were warned that there would be a huge crowd to contend with. Luckily, we were "selamba" enough to arrive at 10.15am, where we were attended to very fast, probably because most of the tense couples and their entourages had come and gone between 7am and 10am. BEFORE Inside the room,
waiting for someone to appear from the other door and tell us what to do ...
DURING
AFTER Smiles all around ...
We had lunch at the Lotus Restaurant Jalan Gasing, where Sheila demonstrated her mafiabilities when she ejected a potential restaurant patron from prime parking space by opening his car door and telling the guy, "You cannot park here; the bride and groom are behind you, and they want to park here!!" __________________________________________________________________________ AFTER *AFTER* ....
At 3pm, we drove to Penang to
spend the weekend (at The Northam); with its great sunset-lit sky
with wine (actually, tea)
and song ...
